Bespoke private Guangxi journey
Begin with Guilin's terraces and river scenery, slow down in Yangshuo, then continue west to Mingshi and Detian. The standard journey finishes through Nanning instead of forcing the coast into the same week.
This is a starting point, not a fixed package. The route, stays, experiences and pace are reshaped around your dates, party and priorities.

Who this journey is for
Choose this journey if you want Guilin and Yangshuo scenery but also value the quieter borderland landscapes around Chongzuo, Mingshi, and Detian.
It suits travelers who enjoy flexible walking, cycling, rafting, or photography without committing to high altitude or strenuous trekking.
It is less suitable if every night must be in an international-brand hotel or if Guilin, Detian, Beihai, and Weizhou Island all need to fit into seven days.

Meet your private driver and settle in. A light lakeside evening or an early night keeps the arrival day useful without making it crowded.
Overnight: GuilinTravel into the terrace country and choose a walk suited to the season, visibility, and your preferred activity level. Stay in the mountains or return to Guilin.
Overnight: Longji or GuilinFollow the river through the best-known karst scenery, then transfer to a quieter hotel base outside the busiest part of Yangshuo.
Overnight: YangshuoCycle, walk, or raft through the Yulong River landscape. The day stays flexible for rain, heat, and the amount of activity you actually want.
Overnight: YangshuoTravel west with private stops and arrive in the borderland countryside. The long transfer is balanced by a slow evening among fields and karst peaks.
Overnight: MingshiVisit Detian at the best practical time, then return through the border landscape with room for a village or river stop rather than another major transfer.
Overnight: Mingshi or ChongzuoContinue to Nanning for onward rail or air connections. Add the coast only when the trip has at least three additional nights.

Hotels and room style
We discuss location, room category, bedding, access, and the trade-offs between landscape settings and city convenience. The actual stays and room preferences are shown in your personal proposal.
Yangshuo
A quiet landscape setting selected around river access, room preference, and distance from the busiest streets.
Guilin
A convenient arrival base chosen around airport or rail timing, room layout, and the next day’s departure.
Mingshi or Chongzuo
The best suitable base for Detian and the borderland chapter, with location and room expectations explained in the proposal.
Guides, tickets and experiences
Professional guiding and key reservations can be arranged for the Li River, Longji, Yangshuo activities, Chongzuo, and Detian. The agreed scope and any access conditions are shown clearly in your proposal.

Yangshuo
A signature Li River view framed by Yangshuo's limestone peaks and quiet water.

Longsheng
Terraced fields that shift with planting, water, mist, and harvest season.

Chongzuo
A wide borderland waterfall where the river runs between China and Vietnam.
Meals and special requests
Dining preferences, dietary requests, mobility considerations, and special experiences are discussed around each location and recorded in the final proposal, including the more remote Chongzuo and Detian chapter.
Your personal proposal
The version you approve sets out the day-by-day route and complete quotation for your party.
It also shows agreed inclusions, exclusions, optional upgrades, and confirmation notes before the journey is put in place.
Ways to personalise the journey
Beihai and Weizhou Island need three to four additional nights because ferries, weather, and island transfers can shift. They work as a deliberate coast chapter after the main route, not as one more stop inside the same seven days.
April and May bring greener landscapes and strong waterfall volume, with rain buffers built into the plan.
June to August is lush but hot and humid. Early starts and hotel recovery time matter.
September and October offer harvest color, warmer light, and generally easier outdoor pacing.
Explore before you decide
A fourteen-day private Guangxi journey that adds Sanjiang, Jingxi, Beihai, and Weizhou Island to the seven-day route without forcing the pace.
Questions
Yes. Activity level, Longji timing, Yangshuo nights, and the Mingshi or Chongzuo base can change. Beihai and Weizhou Island need a separate three-to-four-night coast extension rather than being forced into the seven-day route.
Yes. A private journey can be designed for one traveler. Your personal quotation reflects the route, room, vehicle, guide, and service arrangements for your actual party.
Allow roughly five to six hours depending on the chosen stops and road conditions. The route protects two borderland nights so Chongzuo, Mingshi, and Detian feel like a coherent chapter rather than a same-day detour.
There is no high-altitude demand. Walking, cycling, bamboo rafting, and terrace paths can be adjusted to weather and mobility, while private road access lets the journey remain scenic even at a gentler activity level.
April to October is the broad window. Spring is greener and wetter, summer is lush but hot and humid, and early autumn often brings easier outdoor pacing. Terrace appearance and waterfall volume vary, so the emphasis is matched to your dates rather than guaranteed.
Your proposal confirms the selected area, available property, room category, access considerations, and any best-suitable remote-region night before you approve the journey.
Your personal proposal shows the complete quotation, agreed services, inclusions, exclusions, and confirmation notes. Booking and cancellation terms are then stated clearly in the written agreement for your journey.
