Guangxi in fourteen days: terraces, rivers, borderlands, and coast

Meet your private driver and settle in. A light lakeside evening or an early night keeps the arrival day useful without making it crowded.

Travel into the terrace country and choose a walk suited to the season, visibility, and your preferred activity level. Stay in the mountains or return to Guilin.

Follow the river through the best-known karst scenery, then transfer to a quieter hotel base outside the busiest part of Yangshuo.

Cycle, walk, or raft through the Yulong River landscape. The day stays flexible for rain, heat, and the amount of activity you actually want.

Travel west with private stops and arrive in the borderland countryside. The long transfer is balanced by a slow evening among fields and karst peaks.

Visit Detian at the best practical time, then return through the border landscape with room for a village or river stop rather than another major transfer.

Continue to Nanning for onward rail or air connections. Add the coast only when the trip has at least three additional nights.
