YunnanSouthwest China
Follow the old Tea Horse Road from Dali and Shaxi into Lijiang and the Tibetan highlands. This route balances old towns, mountain scenery, private transfers, and time to absorb altitude gradually.
GuangxiSouth China
Begin with Guilin's terraces and river scenery, slow down in Yangshuo, then continue west to Mingshi and Detian. The standard journey finishes through Nanning instead of forcing the coast into the same week.
Qinghai & GansuNorthwest China
Follow a complete ten-day loop from Xining through Chaka, Qarhan, Dunhuang, Zhangye, and Qilian before returning to Xining. Shortening this route would turn its major salt lakes and desert heritage into rushed transfers.
