Terms of service

Last updated October 11, 2026. This is a plain-language summary of how our services work.

What we provide

CN Expedition provides travel planning and consulting: itinerary design, recommendations and remote support by message. We are a travel planning consultancy, not a travel agency. We do not sell packaged travel, and we do not take payment for hotels, transport, tickets or guides.

Bookings with third parties

You book hotels, trains, flights and experiences yourself, using the links in your plan, or through a licensed travel agency in China that we introduce. Any booking you make is a contract between you and that provider. Their prices, availability and cancellation terms apply, and we are not responsible for their performance.

Prices and payment

Prices are listed in US dollars on our services page. We send a secure card payment link after your free route check. Concierge days are paid before your trip begins.

Cancellations and refunds

• Trip design: full refund if you cancel before we start planning; 50% refund once planning has started but before the first draft is delivered; no refund once the first draft is delivered.
• Remote concierge: full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before your trip starts; no refund after that.

Revisions

Essentials includes one round of revisions and Signature includes two, requested within 30 days of delivery. Later or larger changes are quoted before we start.

Concierge support

We reply by WhatsApp between 7 and 11 am and between 7 and 10 pm China time on the days you have booked. The concierge is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact local services first (110 police, 120 ambulance, 119 fire) and your travel insurer.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your passport, visa or visa-free eligibility, travel insurance, health advice (including for high altitude) and for checking that bookings match your plan. Conditions such as weather, road closures and site access change; our plans describe what is realistic, not what is guaranteed.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service concerned.
